UPDATE:Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Cambria County have identified the man who was killed in a crash along Route 22 in Cresson Friday night.
Troopers say 76-year-old Richard Bartoletti, of Midway, Pa, was killed in the two-vehicle crash.
Investigators say Bartoletti's vehicle was stopped in the left, westbound lane, near the Munster exit, for an unknown reason.
Authorities say the vehicle had "no rear illuminated lights" and was rear-ended by a van traveling in the same westbound lane.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — An abandoned building in Hollidaysburg that used to be a church will receive a makeover. A company with the building's revitalization project received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Commonwealth to give new life to the downtown.
This building has gone by many names over the years. But folks simply call it the "Green Church" because of its defining, green bricks.
The Green Church has seen far better days.
Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A landlord outreach event was held Monday in Cambria County.
The event was hosted by the Greater Johnstown Landlord Association and was used to introduce new landlords to the organization while also welcoming previous landlords that they know back to the area.
Four experts spoke at the event and talked about their unique perspectives to the challenges that are faced by landlords.
Organizers say agencies providing housing assistance are changing or coming to an end, so they say it's important for landlords and tenants to know what type of assistance is available.
Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — A newly elected Clearfield County official accused of stealing a campaign sign belonging to one of his political opponents has reportedly entered a guilty plea in the case, according to online court records.
In November, Timothy Winters was elected to the Clearfield County Board of Commissioners.
Then, he was charged following an investigation into accusations that he allegedly stole a “Vote Mary Tatum Commissioner” sign from outside of the Hyde Volunteer Fire Company.
MILLHEIM, Pa. (WJAC) — Some businesses in Centre County came together to help an area fire company after it canceled its biggest fundraiser of the year.
The Millheim Fire Company canceled its annual fire company carnival due to pandemic restrictions. Firefighters say it's one of their major fundraisers that help them pay for insurance on fire trucks and equipment.
As a result, Penns Valley businesses came together to support the fire company with donations.

The wooden coaster has been closed for almost four years, but starting Friday, park visitors can ride this piece of history once gain.

ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) – The Altoona Area School District is laying off dozens of employees after moving to virtual learning for the rest of the semester.
The district’s school board voted Monday to temporarily furlough 64 special education aides.
Superintendent Dr. Charles Prijatelj said it didn't make sense to keep them on the payroll.
“It’s not a question of wanting these employees, it’s not a question of not valuing these people, it’s a question of we have to have work for them to do,” he said.
PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby reached another milestone Thursday night in the team's overtime victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Crosby's 1,000th career assist came on Erik Karlsson's game-winning goal.
Crosby is just the 14th player in NHL history to earn 1,000 career assists, and is the seventh fastest to do it.
“It's probably apropos that it's an overtime goal that he gets the assist on,” Penguins Head Coach Mike Sullivan said with a smile.
