Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — State police are providing new details about the investigation into Sunday's mass shooting at the Chevy Chase Community Center in White Township, Indiana County. Investigators say the shooting reportedly stemmed from an alleged confrontation that occurred inside the building between several individuals. Police say that when the gunfire erupted, some individuals who were not involved in the confrontation were inadvertently struck. Authorities say police are still working to determine whether or not those involved in the shooting were invited guests of the party that was being held at that time.

Dr. Linda Sheckler, of Bellefonte, filed the appeal last week, in state superior court, against the Centre County Board of Elections. Sheckler wants the board to drop close to 350 Penn State students from the county's list of registered voters because the campus dorms, listed as the students' addresses, have now been closed for over two years.
