PUNXSUTAWNEY - The Punxsutawney Rotary Club volunteered to plant more than 2,000 trees at the Punxsutawney Reservoir Friday. The tree-planting event was held by the Jefferson County Conservation District and Pennsylvania American Water. Watershed specialist Grace Presselato said the trees were planted near the stream to help stabilize eroded banks and improve water quality. TAMPA, Fla. (WPEC) — A woman was arrested after a two-year-old in her care died from severe neglect, according to the medical examiner's office. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) said deputies responded to an emergency call in Tampa after dispatch told deputies there was a child in distress. When deputies arrived at the scene, the toddler was located but later pronounced dead. When conducting the initial investigation, it was discovered that the child had sustained injuries to several parts of its body.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Bishop Carroll High School organized a Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony took place for the first time in conjunction with an Alumni Basketball Game.
