BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore City Police have made an arrest in a fatal stabbing that occurred in July. Back on July 28, 2022, at approximately 6:07PM, officers responded to a cutting in the 600 block of W. Lexington Street.
Upon arrival, officers found 50-year-old Peter Riley inside an apartment suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene by medics.
Police also found the suspect, 56-year-old Jeffrey Chaney, inside the same apartment, along with the weapon.

Man convicted of murder, served 12 years based on blind witness' testimony, files lawsuits

CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago man convicted of murder based in part on testimony from a legally blind eyewitness is suing the city and the police department.
A judge convicted Darien Harris in 2014 in connection with a fatal shooting at a South Side gas station in 2011. He was 12 years into a 76-year prison sentence when he was freed in December after The Exoneration Project showed that the eyewitness had advanced glaucoma and lied about his eyesight issues.

The Port Matilda EMS started posting on its Facebook page about its financial needs last November. Since then the company has received some funds and a very generous anonymous donation.
In January, Port Matilda EMS hosted a soup sale for the community. A quart of soup was going for $6.
HARRISBURG, PA. (WOLF) — Danelo Cavalcante, the convicted murderer caught on surveillance footage escaping from the Chester County Prison, is facing more charges for theft committed while he was on the run, according to authorities.
