Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — State police have released new details on the investigation into a woman whose body was found in a wooded area near Interstate 80 in Clearfield County earlier this month. Police have identified the woman as Ivana Meandzija, of Utah. Investigators say her body was found on the morning of May 2nd by a construction worker in an area between Hoopup Road and the I-80 westbound 123 off-ramp.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A Johnstown man accused of gunning down a teenager in December of 2017 has been found not guilty on all charges. The verdict in the trial of Ethan Williams was announced Wednesday. Police say 18-year-old Tavion Williamson was shot to death in Glitch Alley in the Hornerstown section of Johnstown December 3, 2017. Williams was arrested and charged with homicide about two months later. During closing arguments, the defense argued that the prosecution’s case rested solely on the testimony of one witness, DeOndre Triplin, whom the defense claimed changed his story three different times throughout the investigation.
UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State University has suspended Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity's recognition on campus for at least two years after multiple alcohol use violations during its parents’ weekend on April 1, officials announced Thursday. Sigma Alpha Mu’s violations include excessive drinking involving hard liquor with no third-party server; open access to alcohol with no monitoring; and permitting guests other than fraternity members, their parents and family to attend. “Sigma Alpha Mu knowingly violated every rule that was imposed,” Damon Sims, Penn State vice president for student affairs, said in a statement.

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Mass transit services in the Bellefonte area will be changing this summer but now there is word that those changes could be happening earlier than expected and the transit program for this year is expected to change again next year. The Centre Area Transportation Authority announced earlier this year that changes were in the works for their service to the Bellefonte area, saying the funding they receive from the municipalities involved isn’t enough to support the authority's expenses.

Amy Elik, R-Alton, says school staff who sexually abuse 18-year-old students should face charges so she has filed House Bill 4241 in Springfield. “This bill protects students ages 18 and older in high school by creating the offense of abuse of authority by an educator or authority figure,” said Elik.
