Chester County, PA — In a heartbreaking story out of Pennsylvania, a father and his girlfriend are facing charges in connection with the death of his 12-year-old daughter. The Chester County District Attorney announced that Rendell Hoagland and Cindy Warren were arrested on Monday. The couple faces attempted murder and kidnapping charges in the death of Malinda Hoagland, who the DA describes as having endured "evil and torment." Police say on Saturday night, officers responded to a 911 call that the 12-year-old was unresponsive.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Central Ohio plastic surgeon Katharine Grawe appeared before the Ohio State Medical Board on Monday, defending herself against accusations that she failed to appropriately treat some of her patients. Better known as Dr. Roxy on TikTok and other social media platforms, Grawe had her license suspended in November 2022, and several lawsuits had been filed against her. WSYX was inside the hearing room Monday as Grawe's attorney and the State Medical Board gave opening statements.
Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Online court records show that a DuBois man, who was accused of soliciting sex from whom he believed to be a teenage girl, has entered a guilty plea in the case. Kyle Logan was charged last October after police say he reportedly sent multiple sexually explicit messages to members of the online group 814 Pred Hunters who were posing as a 15-year-old girl. Earlier this week, Logan pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of corruption of minors, and the other charges he was facing were withdrawn.
A long-time Gettysburg summer tradition is no longer. The Gettysburg Anniversary Committee (GAC) announced they are not planning to host a 157th Civil War anniversary reenactment for 2020. "We are honored to have hosted over 100,000 reenactors, 500,000 visitors, and provided well over 1,000 community staff positions," said GAC in an announcement post on their Facebook page. The GAC has been hosting annual Gettysburg Civil War battle reenactments for the past 25 years.
