BLAIR CO, Pa (WJAC) — With Labor Day approaching, DelGrosso’s Park is winding down its 2021 season. The Laguna Splash water park will close at the end of business on Monday, with the remainder of the park open on weekends through the end of September. Several special events are planned at the park in the coming weeks, such as the Frontline Christian Concert, Grandparents Day, the Italian Heritage Festival, and then Harvestfest to close out the month.
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — With all of the unrest in the country right now, one local businessowner says he's seeing an increase in sales. The owner of Hunters Warehouse in Bellefonte, Thomas Engle, says he has seen a dramatic increase in people from both in and out of state purchasing guns and ammunition. Supplies have been hard to get for the past year and he doesn't really know why. Various types of firearms are being sold such as pistols and hunting rifles.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHP) - A video posted by a tourist that shows what appears to be a ghost sighting at a Gettysburg battle field has launched an online debate. A story written by the New York Post states that New Jersey resident Greg Yuelling took the video while on a trip to Gettysburg with his family on Sept. 2. The clip captured by Yuelling appears to show ghostly figures walking around tow cannons on the battlefield.
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (CITC) — A 15-year-old female student in West Virginia is suing the Biden administration after her transgender teammate allegedly threatened her with rape multiple times. The student, identified as A.C., competes in track and field for the Harrison County School District. Her accusations are included in a lawsuit filed against Education Secretary Miguel Cardona last month by multiple states, alleging the Education Department's latest Title IX regulations are unconstitutional.
Pittsburgh Steelers' greats Hines Ward and James Harrison have been named as semifinalists for the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class. Harrison, who is a first-year nominee, helped lead the Steelers to victory in Super Bowl XLIII and was also named as the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year during the 2008 season. LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A Lancaster City man has pled guilty to charges related to the sexual abuse of a minor from 2016-2022, the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office announced Monday. Arturo Aleman, 47, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison, plus five years of probation on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The 14-year-old victim, now 16, reported the abuse to a detective with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police in October of 2022, according to the DA.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (TND) — Gym chain Planet Fitness is defending its decision to cancel the membership of an Alaskan customer who reported a “man in women’s locker room shaving.” Customer Patricia Silva said she encountered an individual, whom she described as “a man with a penis,” while visiting a Planet Fitness location in Fairbanks, Alaska. She later detailed their interaction in a video shared via Facebook. “I just came out of Planet Fitness,” Silva said in the video.
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Dispatchers answer the call when someone dials 911 -- in need of life saving help -- sometimes even providing life saving instructions before the ambulance arrives. They juggle listening to the radio, entering caller information, and coordinating with first responders: mastering multi-tasking to keep their communities safe and healthy. While Somerset County has 16 full-time and five part-time dispatchers -- they're still in need of five more -- according to Joel Landis, Director of Emergency Services.
